Spring Is In The Air - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Good morning peeps,
It looks like it's going to be another beautiful day today :)

I most definitely did not switch on my brain before making my DT card as when I went to upload it in the DT blog I realised there was not one MFT product on it, so I headed back into my craft room to make another.
Take two! Card finished & in the process of uploading in the DT blog, searching in store to link products I couldn't understand why I couldn't find my dies in store, I had only gone & used Memory Box dies arrrrgh, easy mistake girls, well they are the same colour lol.
Just in case there was ever any doubt I am officially an air head lol, but I managed to get it right on my third attempt, well almost I thought the leaf branches were MFT dies but they are CC Designs duh, note to self - label dies lol.

I love this piccy, every time he got to the bottom of the slide he said "WOW" & I snapped him just as he was saying it :)
Getting tired so stopped for a rest with hubby, I'm not sure which one needed to rest most lol.
Just time for an ice-cream before shutting those tired little eyes, awww, we love him sooooooo much.

Experimenting & Mini Candy Winner

Hello lovely peeps,
What the blogging heck is going on now? Blogger & I are so not friends, I haven't been able to upload on my blog & visiting some blogs has been a nightmare as I keep getting service unavailable & an error code, is it just me peeps or is blogger being naughty for everyone?

I am loving this beautiful weather we are having, we've made a start on sorting the garden out but have spent pretty much all weekend shopping! Hubby is one of those unusual men who loves to shop so we've ended up buying decking, a gazebo, blinds for the kitchen, plants, a set of 3 new telephones so I will have one in my craft room again, not that I even like the phone but hubby wants a phone in my craft room as he can never get hold of me as I can never find my mobile, paint for the porch, a camera, 2 new computer mice, wallpaper & paint etc ready to decorate Jodie's bedroom as she insists she isn't going to be leaving home, ever! I think that is sooooo selfish of her as she's got a lovely big bedroom which would be a perfect craft room lol.

Today I have something very different for me to share! Jodie will be 21 next year & she's asked if I can make her a scrapbook which had me in a bit of a panic as I've never attempted a scrapbook before.
I made my first attempt on Thursday when Ali & I had our craft day, & it wasn't easy as while I was making it I had to quickly & discretely pop in my craft room & hide the Star Doo Hickey which is part of my candy & keep an eye on that naughty Ali to make sure she didn't find it as she wanted to use it & intended to then put it back in the packet, which would have meant whoever wins my candy would have a second hand Doo Hickey, & there was no way I was going to let her so this lead to our usual shouting match, well craft day just wouldn't be right if we didn't have a yell at each other lol. That's you named & shamed Mrs Irish, now go hang your head in shame you cheeky mare & go buy your own Doo Hickey lol.

Simon Says Let's Play Bingo - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Hello peeps,
I totally forgot what day it is today, and have just discovered the man who phoned me from the bank waffling about my ISA who I managed to confuse no end was right, it definitely is Wednesday! The poor man said I'd confused him so much he said he doesn't even know what day it is any more or even what his name is lol.
I was up so stupidly early & had the bright idea of starting to paint my kitchen not realising I should have been writing my blog post, & I've managed to trash the kitchen in the process. Typically a man arrived to read the gas & electricity meters which are in the cupboard in the kitchen so after fighting his way into the cupboard he said his wife wanted to paint their kitchen lilac too. "Lilac" I screeched, "It's not lilac, it's French Grey you silly man" and that started a 10 minute debate with him about the colour even though I showed him the tin of paint saying "French Grey" on it he carried on arguing with me that it was lilac so I had to throw him out, and I know I am right about the colour as there is written evidence lol.

Anyway enough waffle as I'm late enough already.

Miss You, Good Luck & Mini Candy

Hello peeps,
I've been meaning to post these cards for a couple of days but I've had a very stressed out & tearful baby girl needing lots of support & reassurance.
After 6 months of waiting Jodie had to go to Magistrates Court this morning to give evidence for the Prosecution along with two other girls, & after much waiting around, meeting with the Barrister, Usher, Witness Support lady explaining they can give evidence from behind a screen so the defendant can't see them etc, the case never even got into court as the case before it was going to take up most of the day so they had to adjourn the trial. Due to good old Government cutbacks closing 2 other Magistrates Courts in Somerset there is such a delay in trials the next available date to return to Court is in September, which will mean over a year after the incident took place they will eventually give evidence! As you can imagine there were more tears & 3 unhappy girlie's & parents knowing they are going to have to go through it all again in 6 months time, at least next time they have guaranteed the trial will be a priority case so unless the thug changes his plea to guilty & the girls not need to give evidence, the trial will definitely go ahead.

We decided to go and have a slap up brunch as nobody felt like eating before we left home this morning, on the way to brunch I somehow "accidentally" wandered into Hotel Chocolate lol. OMG I do love that shop, I did ask the assistant if she could not make it so obvious that she recognises me from having previously accidentally wandered in there once or twice before lol. Naturally I came out several pounds poorer but with a nice stash of mainly Caramel chocolate in my bag & a few free samples in my tummy too, but I did have a big smile on my face which made Jodie & hubby laugh so that was all that matters lol.

Today I have a couple of cards to share that I made for Jodie to give to friends, the first was to give to Angela her lovely boss at work who applied for a transfer to a store closer to her home to cut out the time & cost of travelling so far to work, Jodie is really going to miss her.
 Ingredients -
Image - Magnolia, Medium - Copics, Papers - Prima, Pearls - Melissa Frances, Flowers - Kort & Godt & Wild Orchid, Butterfly - The Craftz Boutique, Feathers - Etsy, Lace - eBay, Pin - homemade, Tools - MS Cherry Blossom PATP, Whiff of Joy tag, Marianne Creatables decorative elegance
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Kreative Stamp Friends - Spring, Make It Monday - anything goes, Stamp With Fun - feathers
Next up I have a good luck card for Jodie's deputy manager Dan who has been promoted and left on Saturday to run his own store in London, he says 3 years of Jode is all he can cope with lol. Dan's another she will miss so I've told her she must be nicer to her managers in future then they might stay lol.
 Ingredients -
Image - Teddy Bo, Medium - Copics, Papers - Kaiser, Chapter One, Twine - The Ribbon Girl, charm, doliy & pearls all from stash, Tools - MS border punch.
Copic colours used - fur E37, E34, E31, E30, shirt - C1, C0, C00, hat & trousers C4, C3, C1, C00, all green G99, G94, G85, G43
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Alphabet - good luck, Cardmad Fairy - add a sentiment, Daring Cardmakers - lucky green, Sweet n Sassy - inspired by green, Totally Papercrafts - male card, Fab n Funky - luck of the Irish, Little Red Wagon - lucky you, The Paper Shelter - for the boys, Sweet Stampin' - lots of green, Crazy 4 Challenges - use some green

The photo session was cut short as Daisy Mae kept moving & sitting directly in front of the card no matter how many times I put her on the floor, she's so vain lol.
Before I go peeps I have a little mini candy to share, I bought another couple of Magnolia Mini World stamps & the shop sent me 2 the same instead of the 2 different one's I ordered so rather than mess about sending one back I thought I'd offer her as a mini candy.
*Magnolia MINI 370 TILDA WITH DAFFODIL Rubber Stamp Butterfly Dreams 2011
If you'd like to give Mini Tilda with Daffodil a home just let me know in a comment peeps, there's no need to post it on your blog, I'll get Jodie to pick a winner in a couple of days time.

The Little Ballerina

Hello peeps,
Happy St Patricks Day to all my Irish friends :)
I've had a very, very traumatic incident! I was feeding hubby's bearded dragons & Diddly pounced on the tub with the crickets in and knocked it right over and the flipping things were jumping and running everywhere. There was no way I could catch them all as they scuttled off under the sofa and unit the dragons tank is on. Ali came round for coffee & while I was sat on the floor keeping my beady eye out for the escapees & chatting I could feel something tickling my leg so shot up off the floor &  one had gone up my jeans leg, Ali said she hasn't seen me move that quick in years lol. With the help of the cats & Henry hoover we've caught several & all the furniture has been pulled out but I am so paranoid about them I can't relax in the lounge at all as I'm constantly on the look out for the flipping things slipper at the ready lol.

I've inked up another new Maggie for my mum's Mothers Day Card, I wonder if my mum will have a flashback to me prancing around in my red tutu knobbly knees on full view lol. I think this sweet girly is a definite fav from the new collection, I love her curly hair which is weird considering I hate mine lol.

Big Hugs

Hello peeps,
I've had a few mad spurts of energy thanks to the steroids & I can't keep still so I've been on a mission to clean everything & have given my craft room a long overdue blitz. I've been ruthless & given away loads of stash to the nursery where Jode worked for her college placement, & I've discovered so many brand new stamps, paper pads, etc that I had forgotten about, it's that bad I am sure I could survive for the next 2 years with only buying coloured card stock for matting, shocking lol.

Today I have a card to share that I made a few days ago for a dear blogging friend who I wanted to give a big hug too but as we live so far away from each other she got stuck with one of my cards instead lol.

Tilda With Her Blanket - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Hello peeps,
Thank you so much for the lovely emails I've had asking if I'm o.k, as you can see I am back on my poor neglected blog after being a poorly girl & thankfully feeling sooooooo much better, I'm just feeling a bit shaky from the steroids & wiped out but raring to catch up & get inking & colouring again :)
I have decided to take a month's break from my design teams work except for my weekly Simon Says Stamp  DT to ease the pressure from all the DT commenting & deadlines for cards etc, and give myself a chance to recover properly & just do a bit of whatever I want to really, have a play at making those things I keep meaning to try but never seem to have enough time & more importantly catching up with you, my lovely blog visitors :)

Today is new challenge day at
& this week our challenge is

I have at last got around to inking up one of my new Tilda's, OMG this collection is adorable & I've been so naughty & bought, ahem just a few lol.
Today's Tilda reminds me so much of my baby girl except for Jodie always carried her beloved "manky pillow" or anything silky she could get her hands on! I used to have to check what she had with her before we left the house as she was quite partial to anything silky feeling she could twiddle & a few times I'd strapped her in her pushchair blissfully ignorant that she was happily "twiddling" & displaying my undies to the world lol.
Ingredients -
Image - Tilda with blue blanket, Magnolia
Medium - Copics
Papers - Magnolia
Twine - Hemptique
Sentiment - Magnolia
Flowers - Prima & stash

For those who want them the Copic colours I've used are - skin E13, E11, R20, R30, hair - E23, E25, E31, E50,clothes & shoes - B41, B21, B0000, C1, C00, pillow - C1, C0, C00, B32, and my paper edges have been distressed with Vintage Photo distressed ink & scissors

I ended up having another little spree over there again yesterday & OMG some of the new papers in store are soooooo scrummy
